USAF M1 Garand Match Barrel AFPG

Description

USAF M1 Garand Barrel for Match Rifle, gauges 4 at breech, 2- at muzzle, lots of life left in it.  My understanding is that the USAF rifle armorers did not buy match rifle barrels as such , but gauged and selected barrels to tighter standards from new standard M1 barrels.  Those that met their standards were stamped AFPG for "Air Force Premium Grade".  This barrel is so marked, has a bright shiny bore, and gauges well.  All original National Match riles are scarce, but USAF match rifles are more so, as the Navy and Army  which mounted much larger effort at competition.   This is a good serviceable barrel, but its proper place is to replace a much worn barrel on an original USAF rifle or to build a replica.   Price includes shipping to original 48 states.   If you lack the resources or access to get this installed, we can do so for you.
